Loss record of 5.4 million in 2007 DT; decline in turnover of 9.4% for our Operator history in the civil engineering and installation projects and expansion of the urban network.
Why are witnessing-2006 with a financial situation which is getting worse SOTETEL more?
On Friday, February 29, 2008: A financial communications, unusual, presented by Mr Ahmed MAHJOUB, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of sotetel, came explain the reasons for this decline:
-- Increased costs of materials
-- Delays in building permits
-- High level of fixed costs
-- Delay in the implementation of the restructuring plan for lack of systems
Information
• Lack of a management information system project and therefore unable to
Measure the performance of departments and profitability per project
• Lack of planning system and thus limit the action to control costs.
• Lack of streamlining procurement and on-storage equipment and accessories
• A project management neoptimalni which is not conducive to good productivity
• Network weak, poorly organized and operating without goals
Performance
• Low grip human resource requirements of the market and above all
Those related to new technologies.
In short managing MAHJOUB Mr Ahmed, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors sotetel and CEO of Tunisia Telecom has suggested a lack of clear thinking and adaptation response to fluctuations in costs of materials.
We also note that management has not learned the lesson of the previous year, on the contrary it has accumulated serious misconduct and failed to cope with unrestrained competition in the sector.

Sotetel as much as many based land phone services are getting into a narrow path of pain, in fact beside many business, Sotetel have no intelligent structure as VoIP or modern PABX or even routing services or special featured software, it has always been living under the shadow of Tunisie Telecom in the time of the Wimax, the company would slowly go bankrupted after having its golden age of ADSL.
If the compagny have a chance to survive, it would be only through a total reconstruction better services it can be TT arm on making Wimax a good business for both.
The failure of Sotetel is also due to its delay of services amplified by Tunisie Telecom paperwork system, in fact our company located in the lake area have asked for ISDN since July but Sotetel never showed up to provide us with the connection, in TT they are accusing Sotetel ans Sotetel confirms that their system there is over full.
